Hmong Spirit Lock

Spirit locks were made to bind a person's spirit to their body. They ward off disease...dis-ease, of all kinds and protect the wearer, keeping the wearer's spirit from wandering away at the behest of evil spirits who cause illness and unrest. this is an old spirit lock from Laos, quite large, 2.33 ounces of silver, 4 inches wide by 2 3/4 inches tall. Note the wear marks on the upper loops, signs that this was actually worn on a chain.
